Immigration Attorney – Full-Time

Location: Port Washington, Long Island, NY

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Position

Our law office in Port Washington, Long Island is seeking a motivated and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our growing team.

We are open to considering both entry-level attorneys and attorneys with prior immigration law experience. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality legal representation to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Handle a variety of U.S. immigration matters, including employment-based and family-based immigration cases.
Prepare and manage EB-1, EB-2, and O-1 visa and immigration applications, including petitions and supporting documentation.
Prepare and handle I-612 hardship waiver applications, as applicable.
Prepare and review immigration petitions, applications, motions, and supporting documentation.
Communicate directly with clients regarding their cases, legal options, and case strategy.
Conduct legal research and stay current on changes in immigration law, USCIS policies, and procedures.
Prepare clients for USCIS interviews, immigration proceedings, and other case-related matters.
Develop case strategies and work closely with clients to gather the necessary evidence and documentation.
Maintain accurate case files and ensure all filings and deadlines are handled timely and professionally.
Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and office staff.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing.
Immigration law experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with EB-1, EB-2, O-1, and/or hardship waiver cases is a strong plus.
Newly admitted attorneys with a strong interest in immigration law are encouraged to apply.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.

Schedule

This is a full-time, in-office position. The attorney is expected to be present at our Port Washington office during regular business hours.
