We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Tax Advisor (Staff Tax Preparer) to join our team at The Hultquist Firm, a reputable CPA firm specializing in providing exceptional tax services to a wide range of clients. You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns as well as preparing tax projections, and addressing tax notices from government agencies.
The ideal candidate is local to Greenville, SC and will have 1-3 years' experience in a public accounting / CPA firm. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required and should demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing their career by pursuing a Master's degree, CPA License, or EA certificate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns with sufficient technical knowledge.
* Prepare income tax projections and assist with resolving tax notices from government agencies.
* Develop an understanding of pertinent IRC sections and regulations.
* Proactively interact with key clients to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
* Support clients and team members with stellar relationships and communication skills; participate in client meetings as needed.
* Serves as a role model for all staff in reflecting firm values, procedures, and client service models.
* Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
* Actively pursuing a Master's degree, CPA certification or Enrolled Agent preferred
* 1-3 years of experience in public accounting required
* Possess a working knowledge of firm technology including the use of computers, email, and the Internet, and the use of Microsoft Office software programs including Excel
* Strong computer and software implementation skills and familiarity with Wolters Kluwer's CCH Access platform a plus
* Problem solving skills, a stellar work ethic, organization skills, and fanatical approach to details
* Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment individually and as a team
* Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
* Complete understanding and ability to follow the firm's policies and procedures
