Position Summary:
The Water Truck Driver plays a crucial role in construction operations by safely operating a water truck to support site preparation, dust control, and compaction efforts. This position requires a CDL Class A license with a tanker endorsement and may also involve operating a tri-axle truck and trailer for asphalt and paving projects. The driver must follow safety protocols, assist crews as needed, and ensure proper truck maintenance and cleanliness. Must be able to do laborer work and operate equipment as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety first, in everything we do.
* Operate a water truck to distribute water for dust suppression and soil compaction.
* Utilize the truck's auxiliary pump for water distribution as required.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
* Adhere to daily dispatch instructions and job site requirements.
* Assist crews on-site as needed, both in the truck and on the ground.
* Perform daily maintenance, including cleaning the truck, washing windows, waxing the cab, polishing aluminum, and cleaning tires.
* Perform additional tasks as assigned based on project needs.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of water truck driving experience.
* CDL Class A license with Tanker Endorsement.
* Clean driving record.
