Department/Unit Summary
5A is an acute care medical surgical unit. On a typical day, 6A has 24 patients with a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio and 1:10 CA/patient ratio.The conditions include illnesses, surgery, testing, and observation patients. We take care of patients with comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal and psychiatric issues.â¯Whileâ¯caring for our patients is the focus, 5A boasts a strong team environment, improved nurse communication and a commitment to SOVAH Health’s core values.About our Health System SOVAH Danville is a 250 bed hospital located in Danville, VA, and is part of Lifepoint Health , a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier ® with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast. Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school ( Bachelor’s degree preferred).
