Raleigh General Hospital is a 300 bed facility caring for nearly 13,000 patients each year with over 50,000 being treated in our emergency room. We offer a wide range of surgical services as well as specialty programs including Cardiac CTA, Digital Mammography, and Trauma Services.

· Delivers perioperative care to the surgical patient through nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Assures optimum quality patient care by serving as resource person for other staff members, patient and family. Coordinates patient care within surgical services and with other departments. Assists the physician. Supervises other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants and technicians.
Assumes responsibilities for patient's care in the operating room or procedure room as assigned.
Maintains accurate documentation of perioperative care.
Communicates with charge nurses, physicians and other team members.
Accepts responsibilities as a charge nurse.
Delivers direct patient care appropriate to age of patient served.
Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required
Graduate of a School of Nursing / College Nursing Education Program
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Current licensure by WV State Board of Nursing.
