This fully remote position plays a critical role in the month-end close process, capitation revenue tracking, and claims reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare or hospital finance experience, be highly detail-oriented, and have solid technical skills in Excel, MAS200, EZ-Cap, and/or Power BI.

Title: Staff Accountant
Compensation: $67,000 – $80,000 DOE
Job Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing and reconciling revenue and balance sheet reports, processing capitation revenue, validating claims data, and supporting monthly financial close. This role collaborates with hospital analysts on financial performance reporting, supports audits, and maintains financial schedules segmented by plan, line of business, and aid code. The position requires strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Must-Haves:
Experience in healthcare or hospital finance
Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP)
Strong accounting background: journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education/experience
Excellent attention to detail and ability to self-manage in a remote setting
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with MAS200, EZ-Cap, or Power BI
Familiarity with MS Access
Audit preparation and claims/authorization reconciliation experience
Systems: Excel, Power BI, MAS200, EZ-Cap, MS Access
