Neurological Surgery Physician
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Call 24;On Call Pay Rate: $339.50 - $367.50
This facility is seeking a Neurological Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.
Details & requirements for this opportunity:
- 24-hour call shifts
- Level II Trauma Center
- Required procedures: Surgical repair for head trauma, Surgical repair of defects or deformity of the skull, Surgery for cervical & thoracic/lumbar spine or able to recognize and manage with backup or for referral, manage, call back-up, and/or make a referral, Surgical and non-surgical management of injuries involving the peripheral nerves, and Interpretation of appropriate diagnostic imaging studies.
- Credentialing Timeframe: 0 to 30 days
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner Care B
- Certifications Required: Board Eligible or Board-Certified Neurosurgery, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Licensure Required: California license at the time of submission
Facility Location Redding is a city located off Interstate 5 and between the Canadian and Mexican borders. The Sacramento River also goes through this city. During the 1950’s there was a great expansion of the lumber industry and two major dams in the Redding area now known as, the “Whiskeytown Dam” and the “Keswick Dam”, were built. During the housing and retail boom of the late 1980’s the population of Redding grew to 66,462.
