Must be proficient in: Neuro, Ortho, ENT, Trauma, Robotics
Beds: 12 ORs (9 Mon-Fri 7am-3pm), 20 Pre-Op bays, 14 PACU bays
Experience: Minimum 2 years OR with Level 1 or 2 trauma
Travelers: Must live >100 miles from facility; no first-timers without approval
Patient types: Surgical (Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, General, Podiatry, ENT), Pre/Post recovery (Phase I & II, some ICU care)
Patient ratios: OR 1:1, Pre-Op 1:2, PACU Phase I 1:1 or 1:2, PACU Phase II 1:2-3
Certifications: RN with BLS, ACLS
Education: Nursing program approved by South Dakota Board of Nursing
Skills: Ortho-Trauma, Neuro, General Surgery, Robotics (Davinci XI), tertiary care surgical experience, Pre-Op/PACU (including ICU skills)
Support team: Surgery team, Nurse Clinician, CRN, Service Leads, OR Techs, Anesthesia, Pre-Op/PACU staff
Systems: EPIC (notify if no experience), Omnicell, Alaris
Floating: As needed (Pre-Op/PACU/Floor)
Orientation: 1 week for all specialties
Scheduling: Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend, call 1 overnight/week + every 3rd weekend
Sleep accommodations: Pre-Op/PACU area or break room couches, 15 min response time
Holidays: 2 out of 4 major holidays expected
Time off: Manager approval required
Other: Scrubs provided, free parking
