Description:
Performs diagnostic radiographs in accordance with guidelines for patients of MercyOne. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne
What you will Do:
- Performs routine and trauma x-rays for the clinic, as appropriate to age related needs of the patient.
- Collects x-ray orders and prepares order so x-rays can be processed.
- General Patient Care
- Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients based on principles of growth and development
- Acts as a collaborating member of the clinic medical home team and is highly committed to a team construct.
- Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.
- Will be in the same space as the lab assistants and will help back them up by doing/learning the following:
- Will perform phlebotomy - can be taught.
- Will perform simple lab tests.
- Will process specimens.
Hours/Schedule:
1.0 FTE (80 hours biweekly)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved educational program of x-ray technology
- American Registry of Radiological Technologists registered; must carry an Iowa Permit to Practice and maintain CEUs. BLS. Mandatory Reporter.
