- Coordinates clinical activities of the Inpatient Wound Care Program which include but aren't limited to utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through use of hospital and nursing standards.
Performs assessment and plans patient care.
Evaluates the patient assessment, planning and intervention process.
Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served.
Provide patient education on self-care and disease management
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and technology in wound, ostomy and continence care
Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly
Manage and maintain specialized equipment and supplies
Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Addresses wound care consults timely
Ability to teach staff on wound care, staging, & documentation
Ability to teach patients how to manage their wound care
Microsoft office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
One to two years related experience and/or training preferred.
Current licensure by WV State Board of Nursing.
Minimum Work Experience
Wound Care Certification preferred.
Two years of experience in wound, ostomy and continence care required per Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification Board.
