Special Education Teacher Job – Key Details
- Location: Plainfield, IL
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Contract: School-based
- Caseload: PreK, Elementary, or Middle School
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Modify curriculum to meet student learning styles and abilities
- Support behavior management using positive interventions
- Collaborate with general education staff and related service teams
- Participate in IEP meetings, data tracking, and parent communication
- Ensure compliance with IDEA and district special education standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education
- Active or pending Illinois LBS1 license (required)
- Previous school experience preferred, not required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
