Dorn s Delivery & Transfer in Appleton is searching for a full-time Diesel Mechanic to join our team with solid mechanical skills. Our mechanics play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and ready for daily operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing preventative maintenance on company tractors.
- Schedule and perform repairs and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient performance of tractors.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment.
- Provide emergency & unscheduled repairs of equipment, including road service calls.
- Obtain quotes on parts, supplies and service by outside vendors.
- Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
- Communicate with team & management to coordinate scheduling of repairs.
- Work both independently and within a team environment.
- Ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license. CDL a plus, not required.
- DOT annual inspection certification
- Organizational skills.
- Experience in heavy mechanical maintenance.
- Pro-active, multi-tasking, self- motivated team player.
- 40-50 hours per week
