Description:
**This relocation depending on your location**
What you will do:
- Performs Ultrasound procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback, operating ultrasound equipment.
- Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
- Instructs, trains, supervises, and evaluates student technologists in a positive manner. - Serves as a mentor and resource for other Sonographers.
- Collaborates with interpreting providers on protocol development and new exams/procedures.
- Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model and demonstrates a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited two-year Ultrasound and/or Vascular Technologist training program.
- Registered by the ARDMS in a minimum of Abdominal and/or Vascular certifications
- Maintains active registry status with ARDMS
- 2 or more years employment at Mercy Medical Center as a Sonographer or 3 or more years Sonography experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire,
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
- Handle charge responsibilities as needed
