Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases in the Department of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty position in gastroenterology. This individual will be expected to devote the majority of their time to clinical care. The position includes active involvement in the fellowship program and will include limited time for clinical research pursuits.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Clinical responsibilities in the areas of General GI will include but are not limited to:
- Direct patient care maintaining an outpatient faculty practice office and endoscopy sessions.
- Participate in the on-call coverage as determined by the Clinical Chief.
- Participate in teaching activities - a) Attending on the Medicine ward for 1 month, b) student teaching/precepting medical students for 5 weeks, and/or teaching first year physical diagnoses - 36 hours over three months.
- Actively seek patient referrals and referral sources at Columbia, NYPH, and from institutions or physician offices in the tri-state are to grow a robust practice.
- Assist in quality assurance, practice development, consults, and other activities as deemed appropriate.
All candidates must have an MD or equivalent medical professional degree, must be licensed to practice in the State of New York, be certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible for ABIM Gastroenterology. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and academic qualifications.
