Shift Hours: Nights M-TH, occasional weekend/2 holidays a year

What you will do:
- Performs quality ultrasound procedures by utilizing proper positioning skills and technical factors, as well as a knowledge of anatomical structures pertinent to the patient population of infants to geriatrics.
- Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
- Educates patients of exams being performed and obtains consent to perform procedure when necessary.
- Practices proper safety in accordance withestablished standards.
- Utilizes critical thinking in daily and emergent assessment of proper protocols.
- Assesses each patient for proper preparation and scanning protocol for each ordered exam.
- Follows protocols that have been established for the Ultrasound Department.
- Observes safety precautions when handling patients, while performing examinations and while patients are in direct contact..
- Operates 2D, M-mode, and Doppler ultrasound unit with appropriate transducersto perform and adequately ascertain the location of specific organs, with the demonstration of recorded images which reflect the appropriate calculations for accurate measurements.
