Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:
Responsibilities- Work under the moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all necessary duties, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
- Observe patients progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
- Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.
