Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring 3 years OR experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Operating Room with 41 OR suites
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week starting at 18:45
- Weekend coverage required based on unit needs with occasional float to weekends
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to other ORs within the facility
- Types of cases include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgeries
- Epic EMR system used; Epic experience is required
- 13-week contract assignment
- Responsibilities include circulating and assisting in a variety of surgical cases
- Pre-start training modules are required and must be completed before the assignment begins
- No blocked scheduling requests will be approved
- Maximum of 10 days of RTO allowed per contract, with no RTO approved during specified blackout periods
- Dress code and scrub color details will be provided during onboarding
- Local candidates living less than 75 miles from the facility are eligible but pay rate may differ
- Applicants on a Do Not Use (DNU) list are not eligible
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum of 3 years recent Operating Room nursing experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma setting is required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No first-time travelers accepted
- Candidates who have been employed by UCHealth or any of its affiliates in any capacity within the last two years are not eligible for consideration
