A 349-bed acute care teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population in general surgical care, oncology, nephrology, and post-surgical care settings, with the ability to float to various Med/Surg units, the ED Hold, and Legacy Annex (Observation Unit) as needed.
Responsibilities & Skills:

Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for post-surgical and medical patients

Float as needed across Med/Surg, ED hold, and Observation units

Manage and monitor:
-
Chest tubes, CPAP/BiPap, trach care, drains, feeding tubes
-
Epidural pumps, PCA pumps, line management (PICC/Central lines)
-
Port-A-Cath/Vascular device care, wound vacs
-
Telemetry interpretation, blood/blood products administration, and thermal regulation

Utilize Cerner EMR system

Weekends and holidays as required
