Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 10/20/2025
Shift: 4x10’s, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (days off on a rotation)
On-Call: Night and weekend call required
Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Travel First Assist for a fast-paced Operating Room in Tucson, AZ. The First Assist will provide surgical assistance under the supervision of surgeons, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout operative procedures.
Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons during operative procedures, including exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other surgical tasks within scope of practice.

Maintain sterile technique and ensure surgical equipment is prepared and functioning properly.

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.

Provide pre- and post-operative patient care as needed.

Respond to night and weekend call assignments as required.

Accurately document surgical procedures and patient care in Cerner EMR.
Qualifications:

Certified First Assist (CFA) – Required.

Minimum 2 years of OR/First Assist experience.

BLS certification required.
-
License verification not required for First Assist.

Strong surgical knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
