Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical RN to join our team for the night shift. As a part of our clinical observation unit, you will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. Our organization is committed to providing high-quality education and support, and you will be collaborating with both students and new hires regularly.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to assigned patients in the Medical Surgical unit.
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, ensuring appropriate care interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to a positive teaching environment for nursing students and new employees.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior travel experience required.
- Active Virginia Compact License or equivalent required upon start.
- BLS certification is required.
- Ability to explain any gaps in work history over 90 days.
