Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry to join our team. This role involves caring for patients with a variety of needs, including observation and respiratory conditions, as well as general medical and surgical diagnoses. The nurse will be expected to provide high-quality patient care, monitor vital signs, manage IV therapies, and respond to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Utilize effective communication and clinical skills to provide patient care.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform necessary procedures and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Assist with care management for palliative and end-of-life patients.
- Provide educational support to patients and families regarding diagnoses and care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Previous Charge RN experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding.
