Travel Nurse Job Details

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday (6:30am–3:00pm or 8:00am–4:30pm)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call/Weekends: No call or weekend shifts required
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required; multispecialty OR experience preferred
- Experience in acute care hospital preferred
- CNOR and PALS certifications preferred
- Strong emergency management, organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, quality patient care throughout the intraoperative period
- Conduct pre-op patient assessments and monitor patient status during surgery
- Apply the nursing process to plan, implement, and document patient care
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and healthcare team members
- Carry out physician orders and assist anesthesia staff as needed
- Maintain competencies in aseptic technique, sterile procedures, and universal precautions
- Anticipate and implement appropriate care during all phases of surgery
- Participate in orientation and training of new staff
- Identify and minimize safety hazards for sedated and anesthetized patients
- Comply with infection control, safety standards, and facility policies
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
