- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

- End Date: June 28, 2026
- Contract Duration: 32 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100–$2250
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for Vermont nursing jobs
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a cardiac stepdown, PCU, or telemetry unit
- Recent experience in a large Level 1 trauma center (within the past year)
- Cardiothoracic and vascular nursing experience required
- Post-op Day 1 open/closed heart patient care experience required
- Proven cardiac nursing experience
- Epic EMR proficiency within the past 2 years (required)
- Willingness to float to similar progressive care or stepdown units
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (PCCN certification preferred)
- Reliable transportation required (public transportation not available)
- Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires from November to April
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status for cardiac, vascular, and post-surgical needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination
- Float to similar PCU or stepdown units as needed
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and shift/holiday requirements
