The specialty for this position is Labor & Delivery (L&D) – High-Risk Obstetrics RN. Summary of Key Details: Unit: 14-bed L&D unit (5 triage/inpatient, 6 labor, 2 OR beds) Certifications: ACLS, NRP required; RN-BC preferred Experience: High-risk OB, C-sections, magnesium sulfate patients, fast-paced environment Responsibilities: Scrub for C-sections Manage high-risk OB patients Perform full assessments and own exams Tasking in OB/nursery without taking primary patient assignments Charge nurse/unit leader 3 days/week Systems/Charting: Meditech & GE (dual EMR) Staffing/Support: Nurse aides, scrub techs, IV team, pharmacy 24/7, RT coverage Shifts/Weekends: Nights; every 3rd weekend for days, Friday/Saturday for nights; travelers do not work holidays Other: Floor-specific orientation (2–3 shifts), minimum BSN, parking stipend This role is focused on high-acuity Labor & Delivery care, with strong emphasis on OB procedural skills and independent patient management.
