Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Kansas City, KS 66160 (Kansas nursing jobs)
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (CVOR) – Cardiovascular Operating Room
Start Date: November 2, 2025
End Date: February 1, 2026
Duration: 13-week contract
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Shift: 10-hour day shifts (may include 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts; flexible schedule)
Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends as needed
On-Call Requirements: Approximately 1 weekend per month
Holiday Requirements: Required
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2800 - $3000

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Kansas RN license (Registered Nurse)
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience in a Level 1 trauma center
Strong recent scrub and circulating experience in cardiac surgeries
Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
Nicotine-free facility policy compliance
Willingness to float to Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD as needed

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a fast-paced clinical setting
Scrub and circulate during cardiac surgeries, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
Float to other operating rooms and departments as required
Maintain compliance with hospital and healthcare facility policies, including nicotine-free requirements
