Position Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a travel contract in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a major hospital in Rochester, NY. This unit specializes in post-operative care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal, genitourinary, ENT, and colorectal procedures, with a focus on oncologic conditions.
RNs on this unit play a critical role in supporting complex recoveries, monitoring for complications, and providing emotional and clinical support to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, post-operative nursing care for surgical oncology patients

Monitor telemetry and patient vitals, reporting any abnormalities

Collaborate with surgical and oncology teams for individualized patient care

Assist with wound care, drains, IV therapy, and medication administration

Educate patients and families on discharge care and recovery

Function in charge nurse role as needed

Required Qualifications:
