PCU RN Job Details
- Location: Sun City, Arizona (85351) – Arizona nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Guaranteed Hours: 24
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990-$2130
- On-Call: Schedule determined by facility
- Weekend Schedule: To be determined by facility
- Employment Type: Travel RN, W2
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
- No license hits; must not have an Arizona home address on driver’s license
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required (declinations considered)
- Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and vital signs
- Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care activities
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
