Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a CO or compact license and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Operating Room at a Level 1 Trauma Center with 41 ORs
- Handles general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastic surgery cases
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (6:45–19:15), including all days of the week
- Weekends and on-call required according to unit needs (approximately 6 on-call shifts per 8-week schedule)
- Float required to other Operating Rooms within the facility as needed
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1
- Uses Epic EMR and prior Epic experience is required
- Primary responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical specialties as assigned
- No blocked scheduling requests allowed
- Up to 10 RTO days approved but not allowed during specified blackout periods
- Completion of required online modules during orientation
- Previous UCHealth employees and those who applied for internal travel or perm roles in the last two years will not be considered
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
- Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
