Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in an acute care setting, focusing on orthopedic and general surgery cases. The nurse will handle a variety of diagnoses including post-operative care, urine procedures, and general surgical interventions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as per protocol.
- Transfuse blood and manage PCA pumps.
- Perform wound vac changes and assist with other nursing duties as necessary.
- Collaborate with patient care technicians to ensure effective patient care.
- Document patient information and care provided in the EMR system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with orthopedic post-operative care is preferred.
