Job Summary: Wilson Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy team on a travel assignment. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support patients through diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
- Assist physicians with endoscopy procedures and ensure proper equipment handling
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2+ years of recent endoscopy or GI nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to work day shifts and adapt to a procedural environment
- Meditech experience preferred
