Interim Director of Emergency Department - License pending offer is OK
We are seeking an experienced Interim Director to oversee our Emergency Department, combining strong clinical expertise with proven leadership. This role is ideal for a seasoned emergency nurse manager ready to lead during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily ED operations, ensuring quality patient care and compliance
- Lead and support staff, fostering a collaborative, patient-focused environment
- Oversee staffing, budgets, and resource allocation
- Implement clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Serve as liaison between medical staff and administration
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning to improve outcomes
Qualifications:
- Current or pending Alaska nursing license (processing time: 10–14 weeks)
- Minimum 5 years of recent nursing experience in emergency services
- At least 2 years of management or director-level leadership
- Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
- Experience in fast-paced, high-pressure settings
