Shift: 15:00 - 03:00; Bi-weekly orientation; Weekend hours required every other week.
Job Description
The Emergency Department RN provides care for patients with various conditions and injuries in a fast-paced environment. The nurse is responsible for triaging patients, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients based on urgency of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Meditech experience preferred.
