Job Description
The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical/Surgical provides nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including med/surg and tele. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care, interpreting telemetry, and floating to designated units as needed, including rehabilitation units.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical/surgical patients.
- Manage and interpret telemetry settings for patient monitoring.
- Float to various units while ensuring proper patient care.
- Perform various clinical procedures including IV therapy, blood product administration, and respiratory management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for enhanced patient outcomes.
- Participate in holiday rotations and weekend shifts as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
- Active RN license in PA or a Compact State.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system required.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
