Patient Population (Diagnoses): telemetry, RN needs tele certification as well as experience with applying, interpreting and actively responding to tele; post op ortho, post op urology and GI, COPD, CHF, diabetics, end of life, dementia, placement needs; really anything that is not in psych, ICU, or Women & Childrens.

Special Equipment: Sigma IV pumps, CAAD PCA pumps, Kangaroo tube feed pumps, GE EKG machines, Stryker beds, Mindray cardiac monitoring, Hill-Rom nurse call

Who manages ventilators: RT
Unit Specific Procedures and Protocols: NG tube insertion, peripheral IV insertion, telemetry strip interpretation all done by bedside RN.. Need nurses with telemetry experience (meaning able to apply, interpret rhythms, take action)
Additional Unit Specific Information: Unit works together as a team and expect their travelers to work and collaborate with all levels in providing seamless pt. care/ approach with pts/family/caregivers. RN and LPNs/LNAs work together. Tight knit community. A reliable vehicle is preferred as housing options can sometimes be 15 minutes away. Parking is free onsite. On call rooms are for on call staff only unless hospital is in emergency.
