POSITION: CERTIFIED STERILE PROCESING TECH
🕒 Shift: 5x8.0 | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST or 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM EST
⏱️ Hours: 40 hrs/week
🏥 Department: Sterile and Materials Processing
Description:
- State-of-the-art instrument processing and sterilizing facility
- Supports 35 O.R. Suites, AFC units, and clinics
- Tracks instruments, trays, and pans via Getinge’s T-DOC bar code system
Machines & Equipment:
- Sterilizers, heat sealers, ultrasonic washer, aerator, utensil washer, cart wash, Steris units, hand and power tools, calibration instruments, repair equipment and parts
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, case carts
- Operate steam sterilizers and maintain proper sterility levels
- Check and adjust medical equipment for proper operation
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and maintain infection control
- Receive, store, and document supplies; maintain inventory and par levels
- Perform quality assurance on sterile supplies, biologicals, and sterilizer load sheets
Must Haves:
- Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD)
- Minimum 3 years SPT experience
- Hospital/ambulatory experience
- Travel experience (6 months)
- 2 professional references from last two experiences
- Experience with assembly, scope, and decontamination
Preferred:
- Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER Cert)
- Orthopedic tray experience
Behavior & Skills:
- Sterile Processing Certification ✅ Required
- 3 years of Certified Sterile Processing Experience ✅ Required
- Two Professional References (1 from last 2 assignments) ✅ Required
- Travel SPT Experience (6 months) ✅ Required
