Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California requiring a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced FHM certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery department of a hospital setting
- 11-bed unit, including 3 triage beds
- Average of 3 births per day with a low cesarean section rate
- Responsible for laboring patients, triage, deliveries (vaginal and C/Sec), tubal ligations, cerclages, and epidural holds
- Common equipment includes fetal monitors, IUPC, and FSE cables
- Uses Meditech EMR; Meditech experience preferred
- 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915
- Provide comprehensive mother and newborn care in a collaborative team environment
- Both weekday and weekend coverage may be required
- Must complete required CMS Compliance Program training within 90 days of hire
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Dress code requirements will be communicated prior to start
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; EMSA not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced FHM certifications required
- Flu and COVID vaccinations required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
