Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week assignment duration
• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Work on 12 West telemetry PCU specializing in stroke and neurology patients
• Care for hospitalist medicine patients including stroke and neurology cases
• Maintain 1:5 patient ratios for PCU
• Float as needed within acuity level to other PCU or medical surgical units
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Manage patients with chest tubes, IV drips, trach, PICC lines, and various oxygen modes
• Work with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products and manage central/peripheral lines
• Handle cardiac drips without titration including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, and others
• Work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays during winter season)
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 25
