Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Moderate Sedation to join our Operating Room team. This role involves caring for a diverse range of patients across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma, in a level 1 trauma center. The Operating Room is equipped with two Davinci robots utilized by multi-disciplinary services, including transplant programs for livers, kidneys, and hearts.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort.
- Administer moderate sedation and other necessary medications as per protocol.
- Assist the surgical team with various procedures and duties.
- Provide support for patients and families, answering questions and addressing concerns.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN License in New York (NY License ONLY)
- Moderate Sedation experience is required.
- IR experience is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of OR experience, preferably in a level 1 trauma setting.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
