About the Unit:
- Number of Beds: 38
- Number of Staff: 55
- Day Shift: 2 charge RN's without patient assignment, 2 PCT's
- Night Shift: 1-2 charge RN's without patient assignment, 2 PCT's
- Ratios: 4:1, or 5:1 dependant on staff
- Equipment: IV Pumps, Seizure Monitoring, Bi-Pap, C-Pap (mostly at night), Glucometer
- EMR: Meditech
Must Have:
- NIH, BLS (provided if needed)
- Med Surg Background
Typical Procedures Performed on Unit:
- NIH/stroke assessments/neuro assessments
- Fall risk assessment
- Trach care
- Feeding tubes
