Job Description
The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) will float to ICU and IMCU units as needed. Responsibilities include caring for a diverse range of critically ill patients, including those with cardiovascular issues, COPD, DKA, strokes, and sepsis.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in various units.
- Float between ICU/IMCU as required, including SICU, MICU, and general surgery units.
- Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is mandatory prior to start.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care required.
- Experience in large teaching facilities with exposure to post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, and neurosurgery.
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Travel experience is required.
