Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Wisconsin with variable shifts and OB experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit of a hospital
- Unit includes 11 L&D beds and 8 postpartum beds
- Handles approximately 1350 deliveries annually with an average of 112 deliveries per month
- 12-hour shifts with variable day and night scheduling
- Requires work every 3rd weekend and every other holiday
- No floating or on-call responsibilities
- Primary EMR is Epic, with experience preferred
- Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Responsible for providing nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Scrub attire may be any color
- Unit offers structured scheduling and holiday rotation
- Low census protocol may place travelers on call during a maximum of 36 unbillable hours per contract
- First week orientation may impact weekly hours
- Holiday schedules may reduce guaranteed hours
- Weekly hours are guaranteed except during weeks with designated holidays
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years OB experience with L&D competency
- Labor and Delivery skillset required
- Epic experience preferred
