Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
• Float pool position with no home unit - will float to all pediatric units in SJCH (CVPICU, NICU, PICU)
• 2 years of pediatric ICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have the required experience
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (must be American Heart Association certified)
• Preferred experience with ECMO and CRRT
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs
• Local candidates accepted on case-by-case basis within 60-mile radius
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
• All time off requests must be submitted at time of application
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Required skills include anti-seizure medications, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, central line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management
• Flu vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only
