Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work in a step-down unit from ICU with no ventilators or pressor support
• Manage cardiac drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Provide telemetry monitoring and ER holding experience required
• Maintain patient ratios of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float within medical surgical units based on skill set as required
• Work with adult patients in a 28-bed unit with daily census of 28
• Care for patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation, and post heart catheterization
• 24-hour orientation provided with every Monday start dates
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required within 48 hours of contract signing
• Must have 1 year of recent unit experience and 1 year minimum EPIC EMR experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Tennessee active license required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Weekend coverage required with block scheduling
• One pre-approved time off allowed per contract

This healthcare facility operates a progressive care telemetry unit that serves as a step-down from intensive care. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac monitoring and specialized care for patients requiring close observation but not intensive care level support. The unit features modern telemetry equipment and maintains interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
