Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) for a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency department. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a dynamic environment with rapid patient turnover and a strong interdisciplinary team approach.
Unit Details
- 28-bed Emergency Department
- Includes 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac-monitored rooms
- High-acuity, fast-paced setting
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care in urgent and emergent situations
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced providers, and multidisciplinary team members
- Accurately document patient care using the designated EMR system
- Participate in holiday coverage and follow departmental scheduling requirements
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-acuity environment
Additional Information
- Holiday coverage is required
- EMR system used: EPIC
- Candidates must arrive prior to the assignment start for employee health clearance and onboarding
- Hours are not guaranteed
