Unit Specifics - Information below is requested for better sourcing:
- Type of equipment : various
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling requirements: every other weekend overtime available
- Floating policy: can be floated as needed to other ICUs depending on volume and acuity. On rare occasion may be floated to PCU

- Certifications: Magnet, CP, Stroke, Unit is Beacon award winner
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have:
· 2+ years ICU, previous
· BLS
· ACLS
· Hemodynamic monitoring, ACLS, CPR, Ventilated patients. Post CABG care
Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed:
· Meditech experience preferred
· CVICU experience
Specialty/Unit Certifications Required:
- Active Texas RN License-Temp license will not be accepted
Procedures performed on unit:
Patient Experience Required:
- Bedside shift report required with updates to white board. Rudeness is not tolerated
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
o RN: Royal Blue
- Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy, no artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc.
- Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab.
- Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
- Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears is prohibited. This includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.
