RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Tech support available on day and night shifts
• Unit secretary available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Must have active RN license and BLS certification
• Navy scrubs required (tops and bottoms)
• Med/Surg experience required
• Must be able to prioritize care and multitask
• Required skills include starting IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Provide attentive and compassionate care with bedside shift reports
• Contract labor is first to float according to facility floating policy
• Expected to make personal connections with patients and include family members in care planning

This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility featuring multiple specialty certifications including Comprehensive Stroke Center, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center. The facility operates a 20-bed 3rd floor Neuro Med/Surg unit that provides advanced medical and surgical care for neurological patients.
