Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day and Mid/Evening shifts – mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts (typical hours include 07:00–15:30, 11:00–19:30, 15:00–23:30, 07:00–19:30, 11:00–23:30)

Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements

Responsibilities:

Perform scrub role for a wide variety of adult operating room surgical procedures.
Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and supplies.
Anticipate surgeon needs and assist throughout procedures.
Ensure compliance with aseptic technique and safety standards.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia, and perioperative teams.
Support trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, ENT, vascular, GYN, neurosurgery, bariatric, GU, and other specialty cases.
Function with minimal orientation and supervision in a high-acuity acute care environment.

Required Qualifications:

Current CST certification.
Minimum 3 years of recent operating room experience within the past 4 years.
Recent experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center, teaching hospital, or equivalent-size acute care facility.
Proven scrub experience in:
- Trauma and emergency surgery
- Orthopedics
- General surgery
- Vascular, ENT, GYN, GU, bariatric, neurosurgery
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to pass all pre-employment health clearance requirements.
