Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least one year of pediatric critical care experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Care for pediatric patients with a variety of medical complexities
- Pediatric patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
- Responsible for patient care including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating treatment
- Interact with patient families to communicate care plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Documentation of patient responses and changes in condition required
- Holiday coverage and weekend shifts may be expected
- Dress code or scrubs per hospital policy
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the hospital
Requirements
- Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state
- Minimum of one year of experience in an ICU setting
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Basic computer skills required
