Title: Radiology / Cardiology – Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (07:00–15:30), rotating call required
Job Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures for adult and geriatric patients
-
Conduct bone scans (3-phase, limited, whole body), myocardial perfusion studies, lung scans, renal flow studies, brain scans, liver/spleen imaging, and thyroid studies

Perform SPECT imaging including cardiac, bone, renal, liver, and brain studies
-
Administer pharmacologic stress agents (Adenosine, Persantine) and exercise stress testing
-
Perform lymphoscintigraphy studies, including direct injection of radiotracers
-
Start and maintain IV access and monitor patients throughout procedures
-
Perform ER and Adult ICU nuclear medicine procedures as needed
-
Utilize PACS and Epic EMR for image management and documentation

Maintain radiation safety, infection control, and aseptic technique standards

Participate in rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience

Experience in hospital and community hospital settings required
-
Ability to perform lymphoscintigraphy independently (required)

Experience with cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and oncologic nuclear studies

Ability to work rotating call shifts, weekends, and holidays

Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a high-acuity imaging environment
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTCB or ARRT-N) – required, active and in hand

BLS (American Heart Association) – required, active and in hand

State Nuclear Medicine License (CA) – required, active and in hand
