Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT CT & R, IV Certification, and a valid NY license for an overnight orthopedic imaging role in Manhattan.
Responsibilities
- Work in an orthopedic hospital serving inpatient, outpatient, ER, ICU, and private sector settings
- Night shift schedule is Monday to Friday, midnight to 8:30 AM, following two weeks of day training (8:30 AM to 6 PM, Tuesday to Friday)
- Daily caseload up to 20 patients, with a steady-paced and low-volume environment
- Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Coverage includes CT and X-ray exams (extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, brain perfusion, CTAs, multiplanar reconstruction)
- Experience with portables and Siemens equipment is preferred
- Rotation may occur across multiple hospital departments or private sector locations
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Scrub color is charcoal grey
- Duties include performing orthopedic CT and X-ray procedures for a range of patient ages and acuity levels
- Candidates may provide imaging support in both exam room and portable settings
- Training provided during first two weeks with day shifts
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Must not request time off during first two weeks; up to 5 days RTO allowed afterward
- Must be separated from facility for 1 year to return as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Free parking assigned in the employee garage
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years CT and X-ray technologist experience
- Valid active NY license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Active ARRT CT & R certification and BLS certification required
- IV Certification required
- Experience with musculoskeletal, trauma, and orthopedic imaging
- Ability to work independently during low-volume night shifts
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move more than 150 pounds with or without assistive devices
- COVID-19 vaccination required
